• Parasites: Fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites can still be transmitted through insects or wildlife near the enclosure

• Infectious diseases: Outdoor exposure increases the risk of viruses like FeLV, even without direct contact

• Toxins: Plants, chemicals, or lawn treatments near the catio can pose dangers

• Injury risks: Climbing structures and outdoor surfaces can still lead to falls or minor injuries

For these reasons, we strongly recommend:

• Staying current on vaccinations

• Using year-round parasite prevention

• Scheduling regular wellness exams

• Supervising catio time when possible
